Medical professionals know the benefits of the BASS Fluid Control Sytem.  Here are just a few of the many comments we've received:

Here at Saints we do use the Bass Mat, and it is really the best item for fluid control that we have.  We primarily use it on Shoulder scopes and ACL repairs.

As an anesthesia care provider, I highly recommend the BASS.  My experience with this product has proven that it is beneficial in decreasing hazardous conditions in the OR.  This system provides a safety factor that is unrivaled in today's market.

I have had the opportunity to use the BASS floor suction device during percutaneous nephroslithotomies.  Although waterproof draping is used with these procedures, at times irrigant does pool on the floor and makes for an uncomfortable and potentially dangerous situation in the operating room.  With the BASS, I have found the device to completely eliminate this problem.  The BASS device not only keeps the floor clean of all fluids, but is a comfortable pad on which the surgeon stands.  The device has no suction noise and is easy to place on the floor.  For these reasons we are now using the BASS floor suction device on all percutaneous nephroslithotomies.  The cost is minimal and benefits are signficant.  I would recommend the use of the BASS.

The BASS has truly been a wonderful invention.  It provides comfort and safety in the operating room environment, while lowering linen cost.  While prepping my patients for arthroscopy, standing on the BASS provides comfort to tired feet.  The BASS provides safety by signicantly decreasing standing fluids.  In the past I would use linen to absorb fluid from the floor, but no more.  The BASS eliminates the use of linen.  No more trying to get wet linen into the laundry.  These are just a few reasons why I love the BASS.  I use the BASS for all my cases.

One of the greatest advantages of the BASS floor mat system is its assistance in the reduction of fluid pooling on floors associated with preping, blood spilling, and excessive irrigation.  In any case where these things are a primary concern, BASS makes cleanup easier, and as a result, there is less biohazard fluid contact for the entire surgery team.  The BASS floor mat system is extremely user friendly and highly effective.

We have found the BASS mat to be very effective in controlling fluid.  During some procedures 8 to 10 three-liter bags of fluid may be used to irrigate the kidney and flush out calculus as its broken up.  Prior to using the BASS mat, we attempted to use a cranial incise drape over the incision to capture some of the flow, but still ended up with blankets and sheets saturated with bloody fluid spread around the surgeon's feet.  The BASS mat cuts our linen usage and makes the whole procedure cleaner and more comfortable as well as safer for the OR staff and physicians.

I used to dread arthroscopic cases.  By the end of the case we were all but swimming out of the room.  There was so much fluid on that floor that it was a major safety issue.  Not only did we worry about falling, but we also worried about being splashed with bloody fluid.  Then our hospital started using the BASS.  We no longer have the safety issues to worry about.  There is no fluid on the floor so the potenial hazards are gone.  The BASS is the best product that I have seen for controlling this problem.  I love it!
